Vegetables!

This enthusiasm is kind of ironic since I've always been more a bread and chocolate than broccoli and cauliflower kind of gal, but they do taste better and become exponentially more interesting when you're growing them yourself.  Here's the garden six weeks ago and today:

.

.

Tomatos, eggplants, peppers...

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

Cornfail.

A few recent harvests...

.

.

.

.

.

.

And what the last one turned into which, in all honesty, looks better than it tasted.

I daresay it's the best garden year ever.  And in a great example of writing what you know, two upcoming WIPs include stuff I've learned in the garden, making the veggies count as both dinner and research.
