High School Flashback Tour: Kimberly Derting

The HS Flashback Tour continues: YA authors talking about themselves in high school and sharing photos.  Plus, a Friday giveaway! Next up: Kimberly Derting...

Kimberly Derting, author of The Body Finder, lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and their three beautiful (and often mouthy) children, who serve as an endless source of inspiration for her writing.

Learn more about Kimberly on her website www.kimberlyderting.com, more about the book & giveaway at the end of the post and more about Kimberly in high school right here!

Who did you take to the prom? Glenn-something.  I can’t remember his last name, but I remember that he had this wicked crush on me and was always trying to get me to go out with him.  I had a boyfriend who couldn’t go to the prom so I needed a faux-date, and Glenn was it.  Poor Glenn, he was all gentleman and didn’t even get a kiss for his troubles.

On weekend nights in high school, I usually...If I wasn't working, I was at whatever party everyone else was going to.  I know this is the part where I should say I was at home reading or studying, but I just wasn't that girl.

What were you most likely to be in trouble for in high school? Talking in class...with writing-and-passing notes running a VERY close second.  Oh, what I would have done with text messaging!
