The YA Scavenger Hunt has ended, BUT I'll be hosting a huge giveaway here tomorrow (Tuesday 10/7) for 20+ new books and ARCs from Simon & Schuster to celebrate the release of THIS IS HOW IT ENDS. Check back or follow me on twitter for details.
Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers access to exclusive bonus material and a chance to win some awesome prizes.
At each stop on the hunt, you'll find exclusive content from a different author and a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our grand prize--TWENTY signed books, one from each of the authors on my team! And at some stops, including this one, there are additional bonus giveaways (see end of post).
But play fast: the contests (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 72 hours!
There are SIX grand prize contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all. I am a part of TEAM GREEN--but there are also five other teams, each with their own hunt and chance to win a different set of signed books!
If you'd like to find out more about the hunt and the authors participating, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt homepage.

SCAVENGER HUNT POST
Today, I am hosting Caragh M. O'Brien for the YA Scavenger Hunt. Caragh M. O’Brien is the author of the BIRTHMARKED trilogy and THE VAULT OF DREAMERS, both from Macmillan/Roaring Brook Press. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Ms. O’Brien was educated at Williams College and earned her MA from Johns Hopkins University. She recently resigned from teaching high school English in order to write young adult novels. To learn more, visit her website here or find out more about her books here.
EXCLUSIVE CONTENT: THE VAULT OF DREAMERS
The Forge School is the most prestigious arts school in the country. The secret to its success: every moment of the students' lives is televised as part of the wildly popular Forge Show, and the students' schedule includes twelve hours of induced sleep meant to enhance creativity. But when first year student Rosie Sinclair skips her sleeping pill, she discovers that sinister things are going on deep below the reaches of the cameras. What's worse, she starts to notice that the edges of her consciousness do not feel quite right. And soon, she unearths the ghastly secret that the Forge School is hiding—and what it truly means to dream there.
The clue you are looking for on this stop of the hunt is my favorite number: 2.
CONTINUE THE HUNT
To keep going on the hunt for TEAM GREEN's grand prize, you need to check out the next author, Beck Nicholas

Or, do both for two entries. The same YA Scavenger Hunt rules apply to this giveaway (international, parent permission, yadda, yadda).
