My book is out today and – ohmygod – I Could.  Not.  Be.  More.  EXCITED!!!  

This definitely calls for a party.  

A long one.  Say…two weeks or so?  Presenting…

The Mark’s Online Launch Party!  With giveaways!  Lots of ‘em!

Here’s the deal…

When:  Jan 19-Feb 4

The Party:  For the next week, I’ll be posting daily about stuff related to The Mark (editor & cover designer interviews, an online reading, query letter, etc.).  This is partly for fun, partly to give everyone time to enter for the ten days of giveaways…

The Giveaways:  Starting Tuesday, January 26, I’ll be giving away a prize a day to a randomly selected entrant.  The last prize day will be Thursday, February 4 (my birthday!)

  • Wednesday, January 27:  $25 Borders gift card
  • Thursday, January 28:  $25 GAP gift card
  • Friday, January 29:  Choice of one book from YA stash and $15 Starbucks gift card
  • Saturday, January 30: $25 STAPLES gift card
  • Sunday, January 31:  $25 American Eagle gift card
  • Monday, February 1:  Signed hardcover of The Mark and swag pack including bookmarks, notepad and glowing pen
  • Tuesday, February 2:  Choice of two books from YA stash
  • Wednesday, February 3: $25 Bath & Body Works gift card
  • Thursday, February 4:  Signed harcover of The Mark, swag pack including bookmarks, notepad and glowing pen, AND $25 Borders gift card

TO ENTER:  Okay, here’s where it gets complicated…sorry!

Post (on blog OR facebook) and/or tweet (I’m @jennadol) about The Mark’s release and Online Launch Party.  UP TO 2 ENTRIES if you both post and tweet.

For additional entries:  Read The Mark and post a review on your blog and/or any of the book sites (goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc.).  UP TO 5 ENTRIES (one per review posted).  Reviews posted prior to 1/19 WILL count.  

Email a picture of you with The Mark (hardcover version, NOT ARC) to me at jennadol (at) verizon (dot) net.  It can your copy of the book, a friend’s, one at the bookstore, whatever.  1 ENTRY.

Leave a comment on this post telling me what you did.  Include links where possible, user names where not.   You can add things as we go, all the way through Feb 3.  For example, if you post and tweet about the release/party today, leave a comment now (so you don’t miss out on any prizes).  If you read/review later, leave another comment and I’ll add your additional entries.  You CAN win more than one prize and I’ll keep drawing from the same bucket, adding any new entries recieved by midnight EST for the next day’s drawing. 

The Fine Print (as if all that wasn’t enough!):  Giveaway is open internationally to anyone age 13 or older.  Not responsible for stuff lost in the mail.  Sorry.  It’s never happened to me, but there’s always a first time.  If you don’t like what you win, regift it!   If you win book choice and I don’t hear from you before the next book choice drawing, you get to pick from what’s left when I DO hear from you.  Please let me know if you don’t want your emailed picture posted on the blog.  Daily prize winners will be announced sometime the next day here and I’ll email you if possible.  Prizes have to be claimed by the end of Feb.  If you are still reading this, you are clearly a glutton for punishment or destined for a career as a lawyer.

    I just finished reading The Mark. Your book is fantastic! I truly adore that your characters were not the typical people you find in many young adult books. The philosophical undercurrents streaming through the entire story were also a very nice touch. I read The Mark within a day’s time, eager to devour every line of text. I sincerely hope that you decide to write a sequel or even another book in the near future. I’m sure I will be just as eager to devour any such stories as well.
